Oluwole (OJ) is an expert in water utility management. He began his water career at Buffalo Sewer Authority in 2006 as the Chief Operating Officer and has held multiple positions since, including Chief Financial Officer and Chief Engineer. He currently serves as the General Manager, overseeing a treatment facility holding 560 million gallons per day and a regional collection system serving over 550,000 customers in Western New York. He is responsible for delivering on Buffalo’s 20-year, $400 million commitment to eliminate the effects of combined sewer overflows in Buffalo’s Great Lakes waterways. Before joining Buffalo Sewer, his early career involved project engineering and management at a regional architectural and engineering consultant firm. OJ serves as a Vice Chair for the New York Water Environment Association’s Utility Executive Committee, as the New York Water and Environment Association’s representative to the Water Environment Federation House of Delegates, as a Board Member for the US Water Alliance, and was recently elected to the Board of the National Association of Clean Water Agencies.
