Nureen Faiza Anisha is an environmental researcher specializing in freshwater systems and their overlap with climate change. A water resources engineer by training, she has worked on several projects on climate change mitigation and adaptation in the water sector internationally. Nureen is currently a doctoral candidate in environmental sciences at the Oregon State University where her research is focused on understanding coupled human and natural systems’ dynamics in the wetlands of Bangladesh. She has led articles, reports, book chapters and presented on freshwater and wetlands-based climate adaptation and mitigation, nature-based solutions, and sustainable management of eco-hydrological systems. She is a strong believer and advocate of making science accessible and engaging for general people and considers science communication an integral part of her scientific research career.
