Naveen is an economist expert in soil and water conservation practices and policies for sustainable agriculture. He has more than 12 years of expertise in conservation policy related to the US Farm Bill programs. His work includes communicating to farmers about conservation farm programs and how to carefully select a portfolio of conservation practices that would maximize their sustainability priorities. His research focuses on production risk analysis, econometric applications to conservation decision, climate-smart practices, and environmental justice issues. He previously served on the Agricultural subcommittee of Louisiana Governors task force on the climate action plan.
