Naveen works in conservation policy related to the US Farm Bill programs. He has more than 12 years of expertise in this area. He is an extension economist, communicating to farmers about conservation farm programs and how to carefully select a portfolio of conservation practices that would maximize their sustainability priorities. His research focuses on production risk analysis, econometric applications to conservation decisions and climate-smart practices, and environmental justice issues. He previously served on the Agricultural subcommittee of Louisiana Governors task force on the climate action plan.
