With an extensive background in civil engineering, Khalid uses mixed quantitative-qualitative methods to assess public perceptions of water infrastructure and water conservation and to better understand how infrastructure managment is meeting people's needs. He currently is focused on how to advance equity in water infrastructure, especially as it relates to decentralized water and sanitation systems, water affordability, and stakeholder-community engagement for achieving environmental justice.
