Cathie is a Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Justice expert working to create safe spaces for water utility employees to bring their authentic selves to the table so we can develop creative solutions along side stakeholders while being mindful to genuinely engage historically underrepresented and underserved communities. She has worked for over 20 years with local utilities managing resource conservation programs, conducting site remediation of contaminated private and public properties, creating DEI programming and policies, and overseeing state-funded conservation projects along the Los Angeles and San Gabriel watersheds. She is also a co-founder of the La Madera Community Garden and has received numerous local, state and national recognitions for her participation on environmental projects.
