Arsum Pathak is a climate adaptation and resilience expert focused on advancing climate adaptation efforts, particularly nature-based approaches, to deal with the potential impacts of climate change and associated extreme events. As the Director of Adaptation and Coastal Resilience at the National Wildlife Federation, she leads place-based climate initiatives through scientific research, stakeholder engagement, and policy integration. Beyond her work at NWF, Arsum is a Board Member for EcoAdapt and Geos Institute and a Science Policy Advocate with the American Geophysical Union’s Voices for Science program. She holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Science and Policy from the University of South Florida, where she researched climate adaptation and sustainable development. Through her work, she is committed to ensuring climate adaptation strategies are science-based, equitable, and effective in building resilient communities and ecosystems.
