Angel is an Environmental Systems Engineer who champions climate justice, sustainable agriculture, and land repurposing. Angel combines multidisciplinary solutions for habitat preservation, socioeconomic justice, and innovative agricultural practices and was the lead author for the San Joaquin Valley Climate Change Assessment. With a focus on bridgebuilding between science and society, Angel actively democratizes scientific knowledge for marginalized communities. His work focuses on best practices to do cropland repurposing to save water and benefiting disadvantaged communities while preserving farmers/farmworkers livelihoods and improving environmental health. Angel is also the cofounder of the SocioEnvironmental and Education Network (www.seen.team). SEEN is a direct action organiation that helps communities through training and hands-on help to address enviromental justice, from building DIY air filters to conducting environmental monitoring with children and families.
